On, 23rd of March, 2023, the OMA Africa Foundation hosted a successful sensitization program on Building a financially Independent Future for Senior Secondary School students. We had an attendance of over 200 Students from three Public High Schools in the Mainland Local Government Area of Lagos.
The Schools in attendance were;
- Aje Comprehensive Senior High School, Sabo, Yaba,
- Lagos City Model Senior High School, Sabo, Yaba,
- Wesley Girls Senior High School, Alagomeji, Yaba.
The first speaker Bukky Aregbesola, Managing Director of Calledo Group, spoke on the need to acquire valuable skills and to develop a savings culture. She also elucidated on investment and budgeting, to mention but a few.
Olawale & Tofunmi of Axia Africa also enlightened participants on the contemporary Tech. skills they can acquire and how they can be even more productive with these skills.
At the end of the program, three lucky students walked away with one HP Laptop each and a tech scholarship, courtesy of OMA Africa Foundation.
